| Bio: | My professional life has been built around promotions, marketing and sales incentive programming. I have worked in various arenas including non-profit, corporate, employee-owned, government and as an entrepreneur. Over the years I have served as a freelance writer for a number of urban and professional publications like the Network Journal, Metro Exchange & New Word Magazine while living in New York City.
Having a great love for fashion, I have enjoyed working with various grassroot designers to produce a number of fashion show productions.
As a parent, I have worked constantly to balance my life as a professional and being an active part of my family/children's life and was featured in the "Entrepreneurial Parent" book a few years ago. I am very passionate about work/life balance issues and remain involved with organizations that support those ideals.
Currently self employed, I also serve as the new Charlotte Chapter Leader of Dining For Women and am active on several boards including The Actor's Theatre of Charlotte & Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas. I am a strong supporter of the arts and cultural elements of society and spend time covering entertainment news, interviews, reviews and other related stories for Associated Content.
