Joined because:I don't trust crowds. I've come to believe that groups can make better decisions but when groups fail they really fail. Maybe we can learn how to form groups that work - groups that find optimum answers. Maybe we can identify attributes of groups that fortell failure. I remain unconvinced that what made Open Source Software an incredible success is transferrable to outputs other than software.
Bio:My past includes the US Navy, Purchasing Manager, Electronics tech. Currently I write custom Perl code for a living, serve on the board of a museum start up ( http://ussindianapolis.us ), and help a friend build coolant recovery systems. My passion is the Grand Canyon, I produced a video about hiking the Grand Canyon in 2000.
