Want money to change the world? This is quoted from the site:
In 2007, Knight Foundation will again award $5 million in grants to individuals, organizations or businesses with ideas and projects that will transform community news. Anybody, anywhere in the world is eligible for funding — if the project meets all of the following criteria:
1. Use digital media.
2. Involve new forms of news in the public interest.
3. Focus on specific geographic community.
This site will begin accepting applications on July 1, 2007.

I sure wish Knight had a blog
There's all sorts of bits and pieces of additional info, that's come out in various interviews, but (AFAIK) isn't on their site.
(which is less than fully functional with my browser setup - a longstanding problem with Knight's site, for me)
...Like 500k is being reserved for dispensing to applicants under 21(?)
and some other stuff that's slipped my mind (and grasp)
like, they *are* getting a blog - but why not have one NOW, if I can set up a blogspot blog in 5 minutes, surely they can too?
Hope they don't gussy the blog up so *it* doesn't function well either...
In the meantime ...
Maybe I could collect the info. Do you have a preference between Journawiki or elsewhere?
Journawiki's a great idea
- perhaps here... :-)
I'll contact Gary Kebbel and suggest that he add anything that you've missed.
