* note: I posted this last night to go up on the Scoop. It's a silly part of the system - If it goes on the Scoop, it doesn't appear on my blog and looks like it was written by Lauren. Sorry, just copying it in here now for the record. *
While much of today's blog energy was consumed by notices about new Assignment Zero editors, a lot more was going on ... (BTW. If you're wondering just who the editors are, here's a list and links to bios.)
* Announcing a new Assignment Zero Aggregator -- Go here to look at the latest filed reporting, blogposts, and started threads in the Exchange
* We've brought on an editor to work with international contributors. Where in the world are they, you might ask.... Take a look at the country list. A discussion about this topic is taking place in the Exchange - here.
* Tish dove into blogosphere conversations about Assignment Zero: "Some really cool stuff relating to AZ out in the blogosphere: Croudsourcing Creative Commons contributor David Pick posted on one of his blogs about his work….Len Witt does an IM interview with Jay about what's next now that we have 700-plus "interested parties," Jay's talk at the Social Media Club NYC, complete with audience questions blogged at nextNY and commentaries on the talk by DefinitiveInk and Savvy Musings."
* Some new assignments popped up, a la some of our new editors. Here's what Amy posted on "Open Source Policy Party."
* Discussion and suggestions for the website keep rolling in. Jeff Muckensturm asks for a "My Workspace" and Anna Haynes keeps the discussion going on the Exchange. If you're curious about what's happening with the site, please team up with David Cohn.
* New editor Carol Zueger -- she says it's pronounced "Zoog-ner" -- wants to start an active discussion about crowdsourcing and science. If you're interested, drop by her blog.
And, last but certainly not least, ....
* Jay's going to post on Assignment Zero tomorrow. He'll discuss the role of editors in a pro-am model. You got questions about the latest developments? Post them on my blog and I'll pull them together for Jay.
