Questions for Harrison Owen

* How would you characterize the differences between an OST conference and a Winerian Unconference?

* If you were to move an OST conference onto the web, how would you structure it, relative to the 'meatspace' OST structure?
(what OST features should it have, what OST features would be unnecessary, and what non-OST features should it have?)
(e.g. would it be helpful to have a contributor 'thank' a group when leaving it? at present in most online spaces there's so little of the 'meatspace' social feedback that one really has no idea whether one is driving the group up the wall- comment ratings would help, some.)

or to frame the Q differently -
* What is the most OST-like online space, and what would you bring to bear from your OST experience to improve that space, and why?

excellent idea to interview him, BTW.

(idle, not-so-relevant-to-our-mission Qs:
1. Are there any kinds of conferences that wouldn't be improved by OST? (under what conditions would an OST conference not be as valuable as a traditional conference?)
2. How has OST evolved over time - how is current OST an improvement over earlier OST?
3. Are you still improving OST, and if so what features are you considering changing?
)

(i also put some OST background info into "filed reporting", that should probably be moved here into "talk through reporting with others", only I don't know how to move it.)

FWIW, I have not been to an OST conference, though I've dearly wished that some conferences I did go to were OST conferences.

Hi Anna,
thanks for your help and questions, I appreciate it very much - they definetely helped me. I did the interview with Harrison Owen this morning, but have to do the transcribing. As I am involved in hundreds of things I will probably not be able to put it only until mid of next week.
Until then, have a great Easter weekend...

Johannes
